Hour of Code
The students have been participating in the Hour of Code. Students are encouraged to experience computer engineering by programming a Lightbot to complete specific tasks. Visit Ms. Simard’s technology page to learn more about this wonderful opportunity.
Math
The students have been exploring different number combinations. They are learning how to find combinations of a number. For example: 5+4=9, 2+7=9, and 8+1=9
Challenge your child to find different ways to create numbers at home.
Literacy
The students are learning the different components of a story. After reading a story with your child, talk with him/her about what the beginning, the middle, and the end were about. You can also talk about what the problem of the story was and how it was resolved or did not get resolved.
