If you didn't get a chance to download the free Seesaw app yet, it's not too late! I will be giving out the QR code once again at conference.
Seesaw is a cool classroom tool that students can use to showcase their hardwork -- plus you get to see it! Be sure to check out the latest uploads...hint, hint -- your child is reading high frequency flashcards for fluency.
During the month of November (and one day in December), we will be meeting for a goal setting conference for your child. I look forward to sharing all the learning that's taken place in two short months! If you have yet to schedule a conference, it is 100% participation so please get in contact as soon as possible.
Our next math unit is all about story problems, a personal favorite. Your child will be solving problems about missing parts, finding combinations of numbers, and solving addition story problems. Visit http://gregtangmath.com/wordproblems -- there's an awesome word problem generator OR you could have fun with your child making your very own story problems. Remember, always encourage your child to explain his/her thinking.
