Welcome to first grade! It has been a wonderful first week getting to know your child. During the week, both classes have been learning the classroom routines and expectations.
The students have been learning to follow the school rules of being safe, being respectful, and being responsible. You may have noticed your child coming home with a sticker. If so, it means that he/she has been caught following one of the school rules in the hallway. Be sure to ask your child why the sticker was given.
A few parents have asked if they can volunteer in the first grade classrooms. We would appreciate the extra help. There is a new policy that everyone interested in volunteering in the schools, must participate in a volunteer training. Here is the training schedule:
Morning Trainings:
Brown – September 15 at 9 AM
Kaler – September 16 at 9 AM
Dyer – September 17 at 9 AM
Skillin – September 18 at 9 AM
Small – September 19 at 9 AM
Evening Trainings:
Kaler – September 22 at 6 PM
Brown – September 23 at 6 PM
Dyer – September 24 at 6 PM
Skillin – September 25 at 6 PM
Small – September 26 at 6 PM
